Archive for June, 2009

Today was a bittersweet day for me.  My mom had her yard sale to get rid of much of the stuff she could not move.  I guess I hold onto memories a lot, but seeing so many of the little silly things from my childhood and also things my daughter played with at Nan’s house [...]

June 26 – Habitat For Humanity

I did a shoot for the dedication of a Habitat for Humanity house today.  I do several of these a year and they are always fun.  The people are so happy to be having a house and they have worked very hard and taken classes to learn how to care for their new homes.

June 21, Father’s Day

Saturday night I had a party with several of my good friends coming over to the house.  We had BBQ and beer and sat around and talked over all sorts of things.  It was a fun time.  One of Ashleigh’s friend’s spent the night and on Father’s day we went up to the neighborhood pool [...]

June 14 – CMA Music Fest

Tonight I took Ashleigh to the last night of the CMA Music Festival.  This was the first year in over 10 years that I have not covered the festival.  I really did not miss the crowds or shooting too many photos and having to work them under deadline.  I did miss seeing my photographer friends [...]

Diverse Magazine Shoot

I did a photo shoot for Diverse Magazine on June 8 in Clarksville.  The subject was a very nice lady who is getting her degree through an on-line program.  The story was on non traditional students. After the shoot I met Scott for a late lunch.  It was great to see him and catch up [...]

A model, a coffee shop and an advertising shoot

I had a shoot in Shelbyville, TN to photograph a young lady who was wanting some photos for a modeling portfolio and also for a coffee shop who wanted to use some of the images for local advertising.  The shoot was a lot of fun.  The young lady was great in front of the camera, [...]

Random snaps from May

I went out a few times to make photos and also we brewed beer a time or two.  Here are a few photos from Pinkerton Park, the Brentwood Library and beer brewing.

Moving day from Nan’s

My mom has moved into a retirement village so we are moving much of the furniture out of her house.  Today was kind of a sad day as Ashleigh and I were over at her old house with her waiting on the movers.  Ashleigh and I spent a lot of time with her there after [...]

Lovely Light

I was heading out the door the other day and saw how the light was reflecting off the tea set in the dining room.  Simply beautiful light.

Woman’s World

Near the end of  May I did a photo shoot for Woman’s World Magazine.  The shoot was with a very nice lady in Gallatin.  The shoot went very well.  It is so nice the way the Canon Flashes work in ettl mode.  I am able to light things well, and quickly with light weight gear.  So much [...]
